IdeaSpark 2.0:
The Founders Club, SRMIST hosted IdeaSpark 2.0, held on September 22 and 23, 2025, at Tech Park 2. More than a competition, it became a platform for students to challenge their ideas and see how they might perform beyond paper and slides.
Day 1: Pitch Quickly, Think Even Faster
A buzzing crowd of students came together, forming teams and pitching fresh ideas across technology, services, and initiatives focused on making a real difference. After an initial round of screening, a selected group of teams stood out and earned their place in the next stage of the journey.
The structure of the event was tightly defined. Pitches were kept brief, with firm time limits in place. This meant teams had to communicate their ideas with clarity and precision.
Parallel sessions were held in Rooms 702 and 711 maintaining a fast pace to push teams sharpen their delivery.
Midway through the day, the Vice President of the Founders Club delivered a session on presentation and pitch structure. The emphasis remained on hands-on insights and real-world applicability rather than abstract concepts.
By the end of the first day, ideas had taken shape, and expectations were well defined.
Day 2: Real Talk About Startups
Sarathi Chandran hosted a Triumph Talk by Jason Samuel, CEO of Zemuria, to start Day 2.
After a short break, the event regained its momentum as the shortlisted teams returned in the early afternoon. They took the stage to present sharper, more refined versions of their ideas.
Each pitch reflected the learning curve of the day, showing clearer problem statements and stronger solutions. As the afternoon progressed, the atmosphere grew more intense, with every presentation adding to the excitement in the room.
By the time the final pitches concluded, anticipation was high as everyone waited for the announcement of the winners.
After much consideration from the judging panel, the final outcomes were made public.
Team IdeaForge (Svar Kalavadia) won ₹7,000.
Team Springo (Seetharam H, Sowparnika Manikandan) came in second place and won ₹5,000.
Team Frequency (Aadi Pradeep Mandavia) came in second place and won ₹3,000.
The event concluded with a note of gratitude to the guest speaker, judges, and the organizing team, bringing two eventful days to a close.
The Founders Club also launched Plan-C, an exclusive community for aspiring entrepreneurs that offers assured mentorship to Ideaspark participants. The event closed with the honoring of the guest, judges, and club officials — marking the end of a charged and memorable Ideaspark 2.0.
