Welcome to the official recap of Plan-C, an initiative by the Founders Club, SRM Institute of Science and Technology!
Held on 11th October 2025 at the DEI Inspiration Studio, this transformative 1 Day event was designed to encourage students to open up about their business ideas, tackle real-world challenges, and explore the essence of entrepreneurship. Unlike a competition, Plan-C focused on collaboration, creativity, and confidence — empowering participants to think, connect, and create like real founders.
The day began with an engaging community bonding session where all participants shared their ideas and entrepreneurial motivations. This icebreaker set the tone for collaboration and learning, allowing participants to connect beyond their disciplines and discover shared goals.
The second half of the event brought energy and innovation to the floor. Participants received insights on legal documentation, challenges in entrepreneurship, and real-world start-up constraints. Later, they were grouped randomly to face simulated business challenges — each team pitching their innovative solutions in front of peers and mentors.
Unlike traditional hackathons, Plan-C was a space for learning, networking, and self-discovery. Participants not only showcased their creativity but also explored how to transform ideas into feasible start-up plans through pre-incubation and incubation processes.
By the end of the event, participants gained:
A strong team of dedicated Founders Club members worked tirelessly to ensure smooth coordination and participant support. Volunteers and others managed everything — from logistics to hospitality — ensuring every session ran seamlessly.
Despite facing scheduling challenges due to a sudden change in the first-year timetable, the event maintained remarkable enthusiasm and participation.
The marketing team executed impressive class-to-class campaigns and social media promotions, ensuring the event’s strong presence both offline and online.
Short preparation time didn’t stop Plan-C from making waves. Creative publicity campaigns and digital promotions amplified awareness, drawing attention from across the campus.
The Founders Club’s social media handles showcased live updates, highlight reels, and participant testimonials, boosting the event’s visibility.
In summary, Plan-C (11th October 2025) was a resounding success — an event that seamlessly combined learning, collaboration, and creativity.
From brainstorming to pitching, participants gained invaluable exposure to the realities of entrepreneurship, legal frameworks, and start-up culture.
Despite minor challenges, the event’s impact was profound: it motivated aspiring innovators to take their first steps toward becoming confident founders.
